Star Style: Summer 2012 Celebrity Sightings
Rachel Roy prepares for New York Fashion Week and Carmen Electra classes it up! Find out what your favorite celebs have been up to—and what ensembles they've been sporting—while it's been heating up outside.
By Hallie Gould

01.La Mode
Fashion designer, Rachel Roy, takes a break from her New York Fashion Week prep to sit and smile with some friends. We're obsessed with her strong brows, super long lashes, and always-fabulous long wavy strands.

02.Leather Lover
We miss seeing Adrienne Ballon every week as Rob's other half on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, so her dominatrix-inspired ensemble is a sight for sore eyes. Although we wouldn't recommend wearing heavy metal hardware and a leather dress with leather accessories everyday, we're feeling the look. Not to mention, her makeup is flawless.

03.Ladylike Look
Carmen Electra stepped it up in Hollywood this week in a rose pink peplum dress and metallic strappy sandals. A far cry from her usual getup, we're proud of her new girlish, classy style.

04.Party Time
Funny girl Mindy Kaling takes a pretty pause with Hilary Duff in Los Angeles. Kaling mixes prints and textures like a pro in her leather skirt, python top, and graphic cardigan. New mama Duff’s dewy nude makeup, perfectly-in-place locks, and mammoth diamond sparkler have us jealous of that post-baby glow.

05.Electric Entertainer
Singer Sandara Park, of 2NE1, shocks the paps with lamé pants, combat boots, and a leopard print bag. Work it!

06.Curvy Cutie

A vision in red! We've been crushing on Christina Hendricks since the pilot episode of Mad Men—but even out of her 50s garb, she looks great. Her casual denim button-up and black skinny jeans compliment her trendy (and gorgeous) fire engine mane.

07.Mommy and Me
Former Real Housewife of NYC, Kelly Bensimon, and her daughter Thaddeus take a stroll in Soho. Her white lacy midi-frock complements her tanned and toned bod, while her cute mini-me rocks the neon trend like the best of them.

08.Hello!
Wowza! Jordan Sparks stuns at the screening of her upcoming flick, Sparkle! Her assets look incredible in a figure-flattering bright red peplum dress (this trend shows no signs of stopping) and patent pumps. Without a single naturally curly hair out of place, we're big fans of this one.

09.Courageous Crooner

This fashion maven and musician, Rita Ora, adventurously steps out in a more is more look, complete with knee-high leather boots, a pinstriped tunic, and fire engine red satchel. Oh yeah, and that turquoise shag topper. We love!

10.Lovebirds
These indie cuties PDA-out on the streets of NYC looking ever so hip. Carey Mulligan sports a 90s sleeveless midi sundress with her Mumford & Son's boo, Marcus Mumford, in tow in flannel and dark wash denim.

11.Entrepreneur

We've said it before, and we'll say it again: Mischa Barton looks banging these days! She strikes a model pose outside her new boutique in London, rocking a tight chignon and rad menswear-inspired number. To polish it off, she slicks on an orangey-red bold lip!

12.Beachside Beauty

On the set of 90210, AnnaLynne McCord shows off a chic over-the-top hat and leopard print wrap skirt. So L.A.!

13.Matchy Matchy
This real life and on-screen couple rock a monochromatic palette (how cute!). Lea Michele looks extra chic in a white blazer and just-short-enough shorts next to her Glee co-star, Cory Monteith, who keeps it simple in a crew neck sweater and Nike kicks. Love is definitely in the air, as we're totally falling for her romantic waves and smoky eye!

14.Going Floral
Bar Rafaeli looks very 'model off duty' in her boho-friendly silk pants and a black tank.

15.Twins?
On the set of the Diana movie in London, Naomi Watts stuns passersby with just how much she resembles the Princess herself. Although slightly outdated, we still think she works that cobalt suit.

16.Summer Days
These newlyweds (and certified hotties) stroll on the beach hand in hand in Ibiza. Camilla McConaughey shields the sun in a cool patterned hat and shows off her baby bump in a flowy white coverup. Hubby Matthew looks casual in a blue button-down that shows off that gorgeous tan.

Top 9 Celebrities’ makeup disasters
Share on google_plusoneShare | Share on facebook Share on twitter Share on email Share on print Share on reddit

Following the Top 9 of Celebrities’ hair disasters we compiled a Top 9 of Celebrities’ makeup disasters. Celebrities are humans and so are their makeup stylists they can make mistakes, but, unfortunately, these mistakes or even real makeup disasters are usually caught on camera.

Taylor Momsen’s makeup disaster
Taylor Momsen is known for her love for heavy eye makeup. She is also known for breaking the makeup rules such as bold lips or bold eyes. This time it’s just too much. Heavy black racoon eyes and dark red lipstick just don’t go along on Taylor’s small round face. It’s a pretty wearable look on stage but Momsen tends to do the same for her public appearances too.

Kim Kardashian’s makeup disaster
Kim usually is very glamorous, however here it seems that she overdid her makeup. There is too much powder on her face, which shows off all the little facial wrinkles under the eyes and around the mouth. Less foundation and powder would completely change this makeup disaster into completely the opposite thing.

Leighton Meester’s makeup disaster
The Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester looks too bright with her indecisive makeup on. When I say indecisive I mean that she couldn’t choose between the bold lips and bold eyes. The eye makeup is too heavy with the eyeshadow below the eyes and looks strange with the golden eyeliner. The bright red lips completely ruin the look attracting attention. These things just don’t work together.

Nicole Kidman’s makeup disaster
Nicole Kidman is indisputably one of the most beautiful actresses there in Hollywood. But here it is a makeup disaster, came out of nowhere. Illuminating powder that is used to emphasize the eyes can be very unattractive when exposed to the flashes. So there are two tips that come along – blend it well and test your makeup in different lighting.

AnnaLynne McCord’s makeup disaster
90210 star AnnaLynne McCord’s tan looks like a sunburn covered with a shiny foundation and too much concealer (or is it an illuminating powder?) under her eyes. Matched with the lipstick tone that is paler than her skin the overall look is very unflattering.

Catherine Zeta-Jones’ makeup disaster
Catherine Zeta-Jones is a beautiful actress but the thick black eyeliner coupled with the bright-pink eyeshadow is not the best makeup she’s done. Besides the foundation seems to have been applied incorrectly as the pores show through. To avoid this, apply moisturizer before applying your foundation or powder.

Debi Mazar’s makeup disaster
The Entourage star Debi Mazar is covered in one color – orange. Eyeshadow, blush and lipstick should not match. Besides her beautiful blue eyes do not come out with this makeup. All of this is completely wrong.

Lindsay Lohan’s makeup disaster
Fake tan was mentioned numerous times when referring to Lohan. Too much of fake tan and glowing matched with the light-pink lipstick makes Lindsay look 20 or even 30 years older than she really is. Besides her hair color does not as much compliment her skin tone as her red hue hair used to.

Amy Winehouse’s makeup disaster
And finally Amy Winehouse. Now Winehouse may be extravagant and her thick eyeliner may be her style signature, BUT here she needed a good foundation and a concealer to even her skin and hide imperfections. Besides her skin is very shiny here and may be a little bit of powder to mat this shine would make it more wearable.

How To Create A Natural Makeup Look

Source:- Google.com.pk
How To Create A Natural Makeup Look Biography
In October 2011, I began a make up artist course at the fantastic Artists@Play studio in Mt Hawthorn and it has been a fantastic experience!!! The teacher Dean, is so much fun and hilarious! He is a fountain of knowledge, pretty amazing for such a young guy. I would recommend this studio to anyone – they even have make up artists that do make up for weddings, including Dean himself.

So I really went into this course to really learn how to use the tools – I didn’t think I was too shabby with my own make up before, I just wanted to refine it and learn how to apply it on someone else. Turns out, I didn’t know anything! The school uses all MAC makeup – and let me tell you MAC has some great products, and tools – which I am slowly adding into my own tool kit.

Week 1 – was very much a theory lesson. Dean took us over a few basics of make up, including tools, caring for your brushes and the lay out of the studio. He showed us through his own make up kit – A-Mazing! It was such a good look into the life and style of a make up artist and got plenty of tricks of the trade…I’d have to kill you if I told you

Week 2 – was foundations. We went through coverage, texture, colour and application. We had our models come in and we did one side of the face as natural make up – dewy with cream blush, very light as if the model was not wearing any make up. The other one was more dramatic make up with thick caked on foundation and really contoured cheeks.

*Tip of the Week – Contour, contour, contour – dark colours on the face push in, light stands out. If you want to make your cheek bones stand out, apply a blush or bronzer 1-3 shades darker than your skin tone to the hollow of your cheek and blend out and up (this should be a matte, natural colour without shimmer), shaping underneath your check bones, you will automatically make your cheeks above the blush/bronzer lighter, making them standout. To increase this effect even more, you can apply a lighter blush, with shimmer if you like, to your cheek bones, as well as some shimmer to the tops of your cheek bones where light would naturally touch.

Week 3 – All about eyes and colour theory. Oh my goodness you could not imagine how many different types of eye shapes there are – close set eyes, wide set eyes, deep set eyes, deep creases, almond eyes (apparently these are the most perfect), eyes that stand out and large eyes and small eyes. It should be noted that these latter two eyes are only large or small in proportion to the size of the rest of the face. Using the theory of contouring and light and dark as above we learnt different ways to emphasise these different eye shapes. We also went over colour theory – wow that is some technical stuff, but SO interesting! I went straight home that night and downloaded a colour wheel app. On our models we did contouring eyes and we learnt the amazing ‘Smokey Eye’ – the technique.

Week 4 – Bridal Week. Turns out, these days there is no such thing as ‘bridal make up’. Brides these days are opting either more colour and ‘smokiness’ or for a very natural, no make up look. We went through all of the things we hadn’t done yet, such as applying false lashes including liquid eyeliner (*Tip of the week – it is much easier to use gel liner with an angle brush rather than runner liquid liner). I really enjoyed this week as my ‘bride’ and I decided that the focus of the look was going to be lips rather than eyes – she had quite a shock when she saw the bright pink lips, I was quite happy with it though – whilst learning at the school I’m really enjoying being able to experiment and play with colour.

Week 5 – Runway – we learnt all about Key Make Up artists and the do’s and don’ts of backstage at a fashion show and it sound SO EXCITING!! The looks that can be created back there – there are some fantastically creative make up artists out there. We watched a video on Pat McGrath – seriously mind blowing!

All of these lessons have been building up to our last week where we create 2 looks from scratch, from pulling all of the things we have learnt into two looks. One natural and one dramatic. Week 5 was our chance, in the spirit of runway, to ‘rehearse’ our dramatic look. My main thought with this look was – Dorothy’y sparkly, ruby red slippers from the Wizard of Oz – on my models lips and a yellow brick road in the look somewhere. You’ll have to come back next week to see the final looks..but here is a sneak peek…

Popular Indian Actor Biography
Biography of  Abhishek Bachchan

Abhishek Bachchan was born on 5 February 1976 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is an Indian actor and producer and the son of Indian actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. He is married to actress and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai.

Abhishek Bachchan is the son of Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan and actress Jaya Bachchan; his elder sister is Shweta Bachchan-Nanda. His grandfather, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, was a poet of Hindi literature. The original last name of his parental family is Srivastav, Bachchan being the pen name used by his grandfather. However, when his father Amitabh entered films, he did so under his own father’s pen name. Bachchan is of Punjabi Sikh heritage from his grandmother Teji’s side, while also of Bengali Kulin Brahmin descent from his mother Jaya Bhaduri’s side.

Bachchan was dyslexic as a child. He attended Jamnabai Narsee School and Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai, Modern School, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi, and Aiglon College in Switzerland. He then went to the U.S. to attend Boston University.

Bachchan debuted with J.P. Dutta’s Refugee (2000). In 2004, he appeared in Dhoom and in Yuva. His work in Yuva received several awards, including his first Filmfare Award in the Best Supporting Actor category, an award he would win for the two next years as well. In 2010, he won his first National Film Award (as a producer) for Paa which won the Best Feature Film in Hindi Award.

Bachchan began his career with J.P. Dutta’s Refugee in year 2000. Bachchan went on to do other films, including Kuch Na Kaho and Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai, without much success.

Abhishek went on to give a string of 17 poorly received films but his performances in Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon in year 2003 and Mani Ratnam’s Yuva in year 2004 proved his mettle as an actor. The same year, he starred in Dhoom his first commercial hit. In 2005, Bachchan shot to fame with four movies that did well commercially: Bunty Aur Babli, Sarkar, Dus, and Bluffmaster; the first was one of the highest-grossing films of the year, and the other three performed moderately well. He won his second Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for Sarkar. Bachchan also received his first Filmfare nomination in the Best Actor category.

Bachchan’s first 2006 release Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, was one of India’s highest-grossing films of the year. He played the role of Rishi Talwar, a young man who lives in New York and whose wife sets on an extramarital affair with another man. His performance in the film earned him his third consecutive award for Best Supporting Actor at the Filmfare Awards. He was also a part of Mani Ratnam’s stage show, Netru, Indru, Naalai, alongside many other co-stars. Bachchan’s second release Umrao Jaan failed to do well at the box office, but his third film that year, the sequel Dhoom 2, did very well—although, as in the first Dhoom, critics found that Hrithik Roshan, as the antagonist, stole the show.

In 2007, Bachchan starred in Guru, receiving much acclaim for his performance, and the film emerged as his first solo hit. In May 2007, he made a brief appearance in the successful Shootout at Lokhandwala. His next release, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, which released in June 2007, failed to do well in India but did better overseas, especially in the UK. While the film itself received mixed reviews, Bachchan won praise for his performance.

In the summer of 2008, Bachchan, his wife, his father, and fellow performers Preity Zinta, Ritesh Deshmukh, and Madhuri Dixit starred in the “Unforgettable World Tour” stage production. The first leg covered the U.S, Canada, Trinidad, and London, England.

Bachchan is also involved in the functional and administrative operations of his father’s company, originally known as ABCL, and rechristened as AB Corp. Ltd. That company, along with Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., developed the Unforgettable production.

Among Bachchan’s 2008 films were Sarkar Raj, Dostana and Drona.

Bachchan produced the Hindi film Paa for his family company AB Corp. Ltd. in which he played the role of his father Amitabh Bachchan’s father.

In January 2010, Bachchan hosted a game show for Colors titled National Bingo Night. The debut episode fetched a 3.5 in the TVR ratings. In 2010, he starred in the film Raavan opposite his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Rediff said the film had “great performances”. With a five week box office of 38.53 Crore and a distribution share of 25.33 it was declared a flop by Boxoffice India.

In October 2002, at Amitabh Bachchan’s 60th birthday celebration, Abhishek Bachchan and actress Karisma Kapoor announced their engagement. The engagement was called off in January 2003.

In 2006, Bachchan was named the sexiest man in Asia by UK magazine Eastern Eye. The Times of India called him the most eligible bachelor of India.

Bachchan and actress Aishwarya Rai announced their engagement on 14 January 2007. The couple was married on 20 April 2007, according to traditional Hindu rites of the South Indian Bunt community, to which Rai belongs. Token North Indian and Bengali ceremonies were also performed. The wedding took place in a private ceremony at the Bachchan residence Prateeksha, in Juhu, Mumbai, but was heavily covered by the entertainment media. The couple appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Monday, 28 September 2009.
