Forbes is a magazine about financial and business news & has released its Forbes Star Currency list. This is the list of Hollywood’s most bankable actors. The list ranks all those actors as the star most which are make a film a hit aka bankabiltiy and also the top spot was awarded to Will Smith. But now why a list is different because it did not include only Hollywood stars, but also include Bollywood stars. Yes, it is correct news & in the list highest ranks are archived by six Bollywood stars.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was the highest ranked among all Indian actors. She’s in the 387th position in the global list of as many as 1,411 actors from across the world. Also in the list their was Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Irrfan Khan and Hrithik Roshan. Aamir is ranked highest at 540th in the global list followed by Shah Rukh who is at 735th, Salman at 753th, Irrfan at 825th and last but not least was Hrithik at 1,059th rank. These is an international list which included over 1,411 stars and though also six Bollywood star did not rank highest they were there.
A survey was sent out to all over the world insiders in the entertainment industry and then the votes were tabulated and finally Forbes gave them a Star currency number. “The Forbes Star Currency survey was sent to entertainment industry members globally asking them to use a provided scale in ranking 1,400-plus actors as individuals on a range of attributes regarding their participation in a film, including the actor’s ability to attract significant financing to a project with their involvement; if their presence guarantees theatrical distribution; if they significantly drive theatrical box office performance; and if their involvement is an essential component in securing rights deals for revenue streams including DVD, pay/free TV, etc.â€,According to an article on Forbes.com.
But the great news is Forbes has made Aishwarya Rai bigger than the Khans. They listed her as India’s most bankable star in Hollywood, pushing down the Khans of Bollywood in the ratings of the best bet for a film’s financial success.
She is only female actor from the country to be a part of the elite group.
There was a four way tie for the number two spot between Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Angelina Jolie and rounding out the top ten were Tom Hanks, George Clooney, Denzel Washington, Matt Damon and Jack Nicholson
